Management Team

Mohammad Fazil

Mr. Fazil has 18 years of capital markets experience with Canadian boutique investment dealers. His focus was IPO and secondary financings for oil & gas, oil & gas service companies and mining companies.

Mr. Fazil raised over $300 million for IPOs and secondary financings during his career in the investment industry. He was instrumental in identifying and structuring transactions/issuers. Mr. Fazil travelled extensively overseas to source funding as well as companies looking to finance and establish a presence on the North American markets.

Alexander McAulay
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. McAulay is an experienced public and private company CFO. He has worked as a professional accountant at one of Canada’s leading mid-sized accounting firms MNP LLP where he earned his Chartered Accountant designation. Following MNP LLP, he was the CFO of US-listed Naked Underwear (NAKD). He has previously served as the youngest elected person in Canada on his local School Board, was formally a member of University of the Fraser Valley’s Board of Governors and President of the Board in the largest social service agency in his community. He was awarded the inaugural Young Distinguished Alumni Award from his Alma Mater, the University of the Fraser Valley.

Cory Hanger
Drilling Manager

Mr. Hanger has worked as a directional driller for Halliburton on slant, extended reach HZ, and thermal projects throughout Alberta.  He has also worked for EnCana as a Drilling Supervisor for multiple SAGD projects and Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. as a District Drilling Superintendent for Operations and Engineering on SAB, CAB, NCAB, NEG, Brintnell, Thermal, BME, & Horizon.  His drilling experience has resulted in successfully drilling over 3000 wells and collectively managing drilling budgets over $1 Billion to date.



Sarshar Ahmad
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ahmad has 20+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.  Most of his career was spent at Canadian Natural Resources Ltd.  He has extensive experience in acquisition, evaluation and development of exploration blocks.  His diversified experience also includes evaluation and development of unconventional and tight sand reservoirs. He has used his geological expertise in drilling operations and integration of new technology to improve efficiency of operations.  Mr. Ahmad has a Masters in Geology from the University of Oslo, Norway.

Mansoor Anjum
Vice President, Finance

Mr. Anjum is a business executive with experience in project management and business development and has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 20 years. He has worked in both upstream and downstream sectors of the industry and has significant experience in acquiring and operating projects in Indonesia since 1995. Mr. Anjum is a Director of Georox Resources Inc., a TSXV company. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Toronto with a focus in strategy and finance.

Douglas Uffen
Chief Geophysicist

Mr. Uffen is an accomplished geophysicist with a 35+ year career in the oil and gas industry working both internationally and in the Canadian basin. Mr. Uffen has served as geophysicist with Texaco Canada, Phillips Petroleum, and Home Oil. Mr. Uffen later served as Chief Geophysicist of Canadian Forest Oil Limited and Conoco Canada, and as VP Geoscience at Canoro Resources Ltd. Mr. Uffen has won numerous awards and recognition for his public speaking from multiple technical societies. He has been published in trade journals, circulars and magazines and has been an invited speaker at technical workshops focused upon sub-technologies in geophysics. Mr. Uffen holds a BSc in Honours Geophysics with a Geology minor from the University of Western Ontario.

Mohammad Fazil, Director and President

Robert Sadleir, Director

Mr. Sadleir is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience with public companies. He is the Chairman of Bow Energy’s audit committee, a role he had with Anthony Clark International Insurance Brokers since 2006. Prior thereto he was VP of Finance of Cal-Gas Inc. from 2003 to 2007. Mr. Sadleir obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1971 and his Chartered Accountant designation in 1974 and participated in the Executive Development Program at Dalhousie University in 1989.

Robert Tjandra, Director

Mr. Tjandra has extensive oil and gas experience with both national and international companies in emerging markets as well as in developed countries. He started his career working for BP as the first Indonesian national petroleum geologist for BP in Indonesia. His career with BP included a secondment to BP North Sea operations in Aberdeen, UK. He has a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Philippine School of Business Administration.
